Q: Who is the course ideal for?

A: The course is designed for Serious UPSC Aspirants aspiring for UPSC CSE 2026. It is a one-stop solution for both First Time UPSC Aspirants as well as Experienced UPSC Aspirants. Q: How does this course help beginners who are starting from scratch?

A: This course is designed especially for beginners who are starting from scratch. It allows for strong conceptual clarity, multiple revisions & test practice, a stress-free pace, and a clear edge over last-minute preparation — ideal for college students or early-stage aspirants. With comprehensive focus on NCERTs and standard books along with personalized mentorship ensures that even students with no prior background can comfortably begin their preparation.

Q: What is the duration of the course?

A: The course duration will be 2 years.

Q: When will the course end?

A: The course does not end with the end of syllabus as Test Series and Personality Test (Interview) preparation along with Mock Interviews are provided to successful Candidates, only after which the course comes to an end.

Q: Will I get study material?

A: Yes, you will be provided with the study material for both Prelims and Mains. It will consist of the entire GS Syllabus covering all the GS Subjects. The same shall be in printed form to every enrolled student.

Q: What if I miss a class?

A: We encourage you to attend all the classes. However, if due to genuine reason you miss a class, you shall have access to the class recordings on the Legacy IAS Academy Portal.

Q: Till when will I be able to access the class recordings?

A: You will have access to the recordings for over a year till the end of September 2026, by when your UPSC CSE Mains Examination will be completed. You can watch these recordings any number of times as we do not put restrictions on an Aspirant’s learning.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the portal with respect to the number of devices or the number of times the lectures can be watched?

A: There are no restrictions on the number of times a video can be watched. You can use your account from up to 2 separate devices.

Q: What is the medium of instruction?

A: English Medium. However, select bilingual assistance can be provided. Please check with the office for more details.

Q: How frequently are current affairs covered?

A: Current Affairs for UPSC CSE is covered on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in an integrated manner for both Prelims and Mains in order to ensure a comprehensive 360° Coverage of Current Affairs. Daily Current Affairs Magazine and PIB Summaries along with Practice Questions are provided. Weekly Live classes of the entire week’s current affairs takes place throughout the day on Tuesday / Wednesday. Monthly Compilation of the Current Affairs as well as the practice questions are uploaded on the portal. This ensures 360° coverage of Current Affairs at Legacy IAS Academy.

Q: Will I get answer writing practice as part of the course?

A: Yes. The course includes regular answer writing at the end of each chapter with relevance for Main examination. Most importantly individualized feedback from experienced faculty members is provided.

Q: Will there be specific Answer Writing Classes?

A: Yes, your classes will include special classes for GS Mains Answer writing. In which you will be taught the art of answer writing in detail so as to master the Answer writing for UPSC CSE Mains.

Q: Will there be Essay writing practice?

A: Yes, you shall be provided with Test Series for Mains which shall cover Essay Tests as well. In addition to this you shall also be having special classes for Essay writing in which you will be taught the art of essay writing.

Q: Is there any guidance for optional subjects, if not chosen from Legacy IAS?

A: While the course you have opted might exclude the optional, we shall provide guidance with respect to Optionals available at the institute. For other optionals, it is advisable to get guidance from subject specific experts.

Q: What support is provided after the course ends?

A: Post-course, students can get access to the following: Test series (at a heavily discounted price), Recordings (at a heavily discounted price), Interview guidance if selected for the UPSC Personality Test (Free).

Q: Are library or reading room facilities available?

A: Yes, enrolled students have free access to the Legacy IAS Study Center till the completion of Syllabus. There shall be provision of Wi-Fi, AC, Biometric Access, Toilets and daily newspapers.

Q: What kind of mentorship is provided?

A: Each student is allotted a mentor for academic guidance, motivational support, and preparation planning. Mentorship sessions are one-on-one and scheduled regularly based on the requirement of the student. There shall be a track record of each student.

Q: Will I be able to interact with teachers for doubts?

A: Absolutely. In fact we encourage them to interact with the teachers and clear any doubts the students might be having. Teachers are available during and after class hours for doubt clarification. Online students can submit queries via the student portal in the doubts section, as well as during the online class.

Q: Can online students interact with the teachers offline to clear the doubts?

A: Yes. Online students are also welcome at our Institute to clear any doubts that they might have.

Q: How is CSAT prepared for, in the course?

A: CSAT will be taught comprehensively by a CSAT Expert faculty from IIT. CSAT Classes shall be conducted every week from the initial phase of preparation. Dedicated classes on Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. Spaced learning with enough time for students to Practice and consolidate. Previous year UPSC CSAT paper analysis.

Q: Are parents allowed to track attendance/speak to mentors or coordinators?

A: Yes, Legacy IAS encourages good parental involvement all throughout the course. In most cases students are living away from home, and hence we are open to share with parents the updates on progress through official channels, upon request.

Q: Will I get a certificate after completing the course?

A: No, students will not receive a Course Completion Certificate. But we can provide a Bonafide Certificate to ascertain your presence/attendance in the course at Legacy IAS.

Q: What’s the difference between Edge and LEEP test series?

A: Both are Test Series with different levels of intensity. LEEP (Legacy’s Elite Endeavour Programme) focuses on both Prelims and Mains together, with test frequency being 2 tests per week. Edge Series is more intensive with almost 5 tests a week. It also comes with discussions after the tests. It has 2 variants – One for Prelims and another for Mains.

A: Yes, based on valid reasons, transfers are allowed once during the course. Approval from the administration is required. However, Online to offline shift is not allowed without the payment of adjusted fee amount. Also, this shift is dependent on seat vacancy in your batch for offline.
