3 YEARS INTEGRATED COURSE FOR UPSC

To address the current demand for Coaching for UPSC Exam by Undergraduate students and early starters, Legacy IAS Academy has developed a 3-Years Integrated course for UPSC Exam preparation

The 3-Years Integrated course is best suited for students who have completed their 10+2 examination or 2nd year of their PUC (Pre-University College) and are willing to attempt the UPSC Civil Services Examination during the final semester of their graduation degree without wasting any time for preparation after graduation.
Working professionals who find it quite difficult to make time during their weekdays for preparation can also opt for taking up the 3-Years Integrated course to stretch out their preparation over a longer period of time to reduce the pressure on them and Maximize their chances of success.

The 3-Years Integrated Course combines the two ideas –

  1. Preparation for UPSC Civil Services Exam is a Marathon and not a sprint.
  2. The First-Attempt is the Best attempt to clear the exam!

Details of the 3-Years Integrated Course for UPSC

The 3-Years Integrated Course provided by Legacy IAS Academy can be thought of as a 2-stage programme.

  1. The First stage is meant to build a Strong Foundation for Basic concepts without hampering your studies for the graduation degree. The focus will be on covering all the General Studies Topics at the NCERT level and beginning the development of answer-writing skills.
  2. The Second stage is akin to the Foundation Course provided by Legacy IAS Academy, with the primary focus on covering all the concepts in the General Studies subjects at the advanced level of Standard books along with the basic level of preparation for the Optional Subject.
  3. The third-year is aimed at providing a higher level of understanding, reinforcement and application of knowledge in both GS subjects as well as the Optional Subject.

Building the right foundation is key to maximize the benefits of preparation and hence the knowledge base will be built up gradually from the level of NCERT Books to advanced concepts in the Standard books through the first stage of the 3-Years Integrated Course without posing any hindrance to the graduation degree studies.

Along with the knowledge base being built up to the level of advanced concepts in standard books, other fundamental skills such as newspaper-reading, notes preparation, Mains answer-writing etc., will be developed in the second stage.

Once you have “covered” all the topics and you have learnt how to make notes and write answers for the Mains exam, you will now be ready to take your preparation to the next level with the Third Stage. The concepts in the GS subjects will be covered for a third time now, however, it will be much different as you will be learning to draw conclusions and form correlations between the concepts in different subjects, along with relating everything that you learn with Current Affairs and Mains answers. The third stage will be your final step to successfully clear all the three stages of the UPSC exam by not only reinforcing the knowledge gained through practice and revisions, but also taking your thought-process and answer-writing skills to the next level.

Benefits of taking up the 3-Years Integrated Course

  1. A 3-Years course will help you reach the aim of getting a top rank in UPSC CSE at a young age without choking your graduation degree classes.
  2. Students who are starting off with their graduation degree will be in a position to directly appear in the exam during the last semester without wasting a year after graduation.
  3. Students will be in a position to pick the same Optional Subject as their Graduation Degree discipline to combine their efforts and maximize their results.
  4. Aspirants who are working professionals facing difficulty in squeezing out time for their preparation can also take up the 3-Years Integrated course to reduce the pressure for completing the syllabus in a hurried manner.
  5. Sufficient time can be given to cover the syllabus extensively at a calmer and measured pace rather than rushing through the preparation along with graduation degree or work commitments.
  6. Students can develop several skills such as framing answers and organizing content to such a level that it becomes second nature to them and implement these skill-sets in their graduation degree as well.
  7. Definitively cover all the gaps and weaknesses such as writing speed or framing answers gradually without having to skip past anything.
  8. Understand concepts in all the subjects regardless of the perceived importance, to avoid the risk of having to face a question on something you haven’t read about.
  9. Leave no stone unturned in terms of Current Affairs, thereby remaining able to answer questions that are asked on events in the news up to 3 years prior to the exam (as seen in recent trends of UPSC).
  10. Hone every skill that is necessarily such that it becomes second nature and hence maximizes your potential to crack the exam.

LIMITED BATCH SIZE TO DELIVER PROMISES

  • Each of our batches is limited to no more than 40 students to help towards the cause of providing individual attention.
