Q: Who is the course ideal for?

A: The course is designed for Serious UPSC Aspirants aspiring for UPSC CSE 2026. It is a one-stop solution for both First Time UPSC Aspirants as well as Experienced UPSC Aspirants.

Q: How does this UPSC Test Series help beginners who are starting from scratch?

A: This Test Series is designed especially for beginners who are starting from scratch. Experienced Aspirants with gaps in preparation can also choose this Test Series. This test series covers the syllabus comprehensively from the NCERTs, Standard Books, Current Affairs as well as PYQs and PYQ-based questions as well.

Q: What is the duration of the Test Series?

A: The test series shall be there up to your Mains Examinations. All the Prelims Tests shall be completed before Prelims 2026 and all the Mains Tests shall be completed before Mains 2026.

Q: How many tests will I get?

A: You will be provided with 52+ UPSC CSE Prelims tests covering both GS and CSAT and 36+ UPSC CSE Mains tests covering all the GS Papers and Essay. It will be made available in both online and offline formats.

Q: Will I get study material?

A: Yes, you will get access to the Current Affairs Magazines in digital form. The standard books to be referred shall be mentioned in your detailed schedule of Test Series.

Q: What if I miss a test?

A: We encourage you to give all the tests on time. However, if due to genuine reason you miss a test, you shall have access to the same on the Legacy IAS Academy Portal.

Q: Till when will I be able to access the tests?

A: You will have access to the Tests till the end of September 2026, by when your UPSC CSE Mains Examination will be completed.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the portal with respect to the number of attempts the tests can be given for?

A: You can attempt each test (Both Prelims and Mains) only once. For Prelims: Once you attempt the test, your answers along with detailed explanation for each and every question for Prelims shall be available till the end of the course in online format. If you give the tests offline, the test papers and the OMR sheet shall be handed over to you after each test.

Q: How long will it take to get the checked Mains Test copy?

A: You shall receive your checked Mains Answer Copy within 72 Hours.

Q: What is the medium of instruction?

A: English Medium. However, select bilingual assistance can be provided. Please check with the office for more details.

Q: Will I be able to interact with teachers for doubts?

A: Absolutely. In fact we encourage them to interact with the teachers and clear any doubts the students might be having. Teachers are available during and after class hours for doubt clarification. Online students can submit queries via the student portal in the doubts section.

Q: How can I interact with the teachers directly if I am an online student?

A: You can raise your doubts through our portal.

Q: Can online students interact with the teachers offline to clear the doubts?

A: Yes. Online students are also welcome at our Institute to clear any doubts that they might have.

Q: Does Legacy IAS help with form filling or UPSC application processes?

A: Yes. The student can approach any staff member to get assistance related to form filling. If the details are related to cadre preferences, optional selection, posts preferences etc., faculty members can assist you.

Q: What if I join late or miss a few initial tests?

A: The tests shall be available till the expiry of the course and you can give the test at any time of your choosing. Hence, if you miss the tests, you can cover up by giving the already conducted tests first in order to be on track. Our mentors will guide you to bring yourself on track with respect to the tests.

Q: How is performance tracked throughout the course?

A: Your preparation gets tracked through:

• Regular Test attempts and the marks therein
• Progress reports (entries made by students)
• Mentor check-ins

This helps in identifying weak areas quite easily and making requisite course corrections.

Q: What does progress report consist of?

A: Legacy IAS Academy Progress report is comprehensive and exhaustive which ensures that the Aspirants are aware of their Schedule of Test Series, The syllabus of the tests, areas of strengths and weaknesses with respect to the marks scored. This shall help the Aspirant to efficiently improve their marks and become exam ready. The progress report not just identifies the subjects that you are weak in but exactly pinpoints the micro topic that you are weak in, the micro topic that you have not covered or not revised or scored low in. Q: How are tests conducted for online students?

A: Online students can access the tests online. For Prelims Test Series they can give the tests on the Legacy IAS Academy's app or on the portal. They can access the Mains Test Series on the Legacy IAS Academy’s app or on the portal. However, they will have to write the answers on the UPSC sample answer sheets and scan the same and upload it on the portal for getting it checked by our expert faculty members.

Q: Are parents allowed to track attendance/speak to mentors or coordinators?

A: Yes, Legacy IAS encourages good parental involvement all throughout the course. In most cases students are living away from home, and hence we are open to share with parents the updates on progress through official channels, upon request.

Q: Will I get a certificate after completing the course?

A: No, students will not receive a Course Completion Certificate. But we can provide a Bonafide Certificate to ascertain your presence/attendance in the course at Legacy IAS.

Q: What’s the difference between Edge and LEEP test series?

A: Both are Test Series with different levels of intensity. LEEP (Legacy’s Elite Endeavour Programme) focuses on both Prelims and Mains together, with test frequency being 2 tests per week. Edge Series is more intensive with almost 5 tests a week. It also comes with discussions after the tests. It has 2 variants – One for Prelims and another for Mains.

Q: Is there an interview guidance program (DIA - Dedicated Interview Assistance)?

Q: Can I shift from offline to online mid-course?

A: Yes, based on valid reasons, transfers are allowed once during the course. Approval from the administration is required. However, Online to offline shift is not allowed without the payment of the adjusted fee amount. Also, this shift is dependent on seat vacancy in your batch for offline.
