- How does India plan to stop the Child marriage?
The leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), TR Baalu, urged all like-minded MPs to support a proposal to remove the governor of Tamil Nadu, R N Ravi. Governors in several non-BJP-ruled states, including Kerala and Punjab, have expressed disagreements with the government on various issues, prompting the DMK to call for their removal.

The steering committee of a global programme to stop child marriage is in India to see how state actions have helped cut down on the number of child marriages. The Covid-19 pandemic is the reason for this visit. It is thought that the number of child marriages will rise because of the pandemic.
