Why in News?
Recently, National Security Advisor inaugurated the National Cyber Security Incident Response Exercise.
About National Cyber Security Incident Response Exercise (NCX India)
- The National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) of the Government of India, in collaboration with the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), is implementing the programme, which is supported by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
- The National Cyber Exercise (NCX) India seeks to educate senior management and technical employees from government and critical sector organisations and agencies about current cyber threats, as well as how to handle cyber crises and respond to them.
Significance:
- NCX India will assist strategic leaders in better understanding cyber threats, assessing readiness, and developing cyber crisis management and cooperation capabilities.
- This will also aid in the development and testing of cybersecurity skills, as well as teamwork, planning, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
