The tripartite agreement signed between representatives of Bodo people with the Centre and Assam government gave birth to a Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Details
- After several rounds of negotiations with New Delhi, four factions of NDFB and the ABSU has signed another Bodo accord, the third one in 2020
- There is going to be 60 members in the Bodoland Territorial Region
- Bodo tribes will get political and economic benefits after this agreement. The agreement will provide some political rights and some economic packages to the community.
- According to the political pundits, the agreement will ensure the safety of Bodo language, cultural and regional matters.
