Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the cutoff marks for civil services prelims, mains and final results. UPSC had announced the civil services final results on September 24, 2021.
A total of 761 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service; Indian Foreign Service; Indian Police Service; and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

What is the UPSC Prelims Cut Off Marks 2020 (Out of 200) for General?
The Cut-off marks of UPSC CSE Prelims 2020 is only 92.51 out of 200 (46.25 %).
This is the lowest cut-off score recorded since the new pattern is introduced by UPSC in 2011.
In 2019, the Prelims cut-off for the general category was 98 marks out of 200.
What is the UPSC Final Cut Off Marks 2020 (Out of 2025)
- General – 944 (in 2019 cut-off was 961)
- EWS – 894 (in 2019 cut-off was 909)
- OBC – 907 (in 2019, cut off was 925)
- SC – 875 (in 2019, cut-off was 898)
- ST – 876 (in 2019, cut-off was 893)
It is interesting to note that to be selected for these elite Services, a general category candidate had to secure just 944 marks out of 2025 in the CSE 2020. In percentage terms, this translates to 46.61%. It essentially means, to be safely be placed in the final list just 45%-50% of marks would suffice.
